Whole-system duct and dryer vent check with before-and-after photos - you see exactly what came out of your vents
That "$99 whole-house special" is a bait ad - the real number appears once they are in your hallway, or the "clean" is a shop-vac at the register. We photograph the inside of your ducts before and after instead.

AfterFast, Reliable Duct Sealing Across Sebastopol
Sebastopol sits at the western edge of the Russian River Valley, where the marine layer rolls in thick off Bodega Bay and the older homes along Main Street and Petaluma Avenue were built when ductwork was an afterthought. We’re familiar with the crawlspaces under those hillside ranch homes off Bodega Highway and the retrofitted attics in the Gravenstein apple orchard country. Our crews dispatch from the San Francisco Bay Area office and serve Sebastopol directly, typically arriving inside our quoted window whether you’re near the Laguna de Santa Rosa or up toward Occidental Road. When your ducts are leaking conditioned air into a damp crawlspace or pulling in musty attic air, that local geography matters to how we fix it. Call (361) 326-5060 for a free estimate.
Why Hollis Air Duct Cleaning Is Sebastopol’s Preferred Duct Sealing Company
We’ve worked in the crawlspaces beneath Victorians near downtown Sebastopol and the mid-century ranches scattered across the hills toward Freestone. That variety means we’ve seen the incremental duct additions, the mixed rigid-and-flex systems, and the moisture problems that come from fog belt humidity.
Our technicians arrive background-checked and uniformed, with written prices before any work begins. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers every duct sealing job in writing: if the seal fails within a year, we return at no charge, including a free second visit. No estimates that balloon once we’re inside your home. Phones are answered by a live person 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so you’re not waiting through voicemail loops when you’ve got a question about your system.
Air Duct Sealing in Sebastopol
Air Duct Sealing in Sebastopol addresses the conditioned air escaping through gaps, disconnected joints, and deteriorated mastic in duct systems that were often installed piecemeal across decades. In this market, a typical whole-home duct sealing job runs $1,200 – $2,800 depending on system accessibility, duct material, and the extent of damage from moisture or age. Most Sebastopol homeowners need sealing when they notice uneven heating between rooms, utility bills climbing without explanation, or musty odors that suggest attic or crawlspace air is being drawn into the supply side.
What the Process Involves
We pressurize the duct system and use diagnostic tools to locate leaks, then seal accessible joints with mastic or specialized tape rated for HVAC use. In Sebastopol’s older homes, we often find original ductwork routed through unconditioned spaces where decades of fog-season dampness have degraded seals that a visual inspection would miss.
When Sealing Beats Replacement
Not every leaky system needs full replacement. If your rigid metal ducts are structurally sound but poorly sealed, targeted sealing restores efficiency at a fraction of the cost. We assess each system and quote in writing before touching anything, so you know exactly where your money goes.
Duct Sealing Services in Sebastopol
Duct Sealing Services in Sebastopol from Hollis cover everything from spot repairs on disconnected flex runs to comprehensive whole-system sealing with post-work verification. The same coastal conditions that make this area ideal for apple orchards, fog and persistent dampness, accelerate duct deterioration in crawlspaces and attics that never fully dry out. Our Duct Sealing team uses professional-grade equipment to locate and seal leaks that cost you money every month your HVAC runs.
Leak Detection and Mapping
We start with pressure testing and thermal imaging to map exactly where your conditioned air escapes. In homes near Laguna de Santa Rosa, we’ve found that fine ash from past wildfire seasons has settled into gaps and joints, creating additional airflow restrictions that compound the leakage problem.
Post-Seal Verification
After sealing, we retest to confirm measurable improvement in duct tightness. You get before-and-after documentation, not a handshake and a promise. That’s The Garrison Standard: price in writing, work by the book, proof it worked.

Trusted Brands We Service in Sebastopol
Our equipment roster includes rotary brush systems from Rotobrush, negative-air machines from Nikro, and filtration products from Honeywell, Aprilaire, and Guardsman. For Sebastopol homeowners, that means we stock the mastics, mechanical fasteners, and sealants that match your existing duct materials without waiting on special orders. We also carry Abatement Technologies HEPA filtration for jobs where disturbed debris requires containment. Whether your system uses original rigid metal, retrofitted flex duct, or a hybrid common to the hillside ranches off Joy Road, we have the compatible materials on the van to complete the seal in one visit.
Common Duct Sealing Problems We See in Sebastopol Homes
- Fog-belt moisture degradation. The chronic damp in Sebastopol crawlspaces softens duct tape and degrades mastic seals. We regularly find original seals that failed years ago, leaving homeowners heating and cooling their foundations instead of their living spaces.
- Incremental retrofit gaps. Many homes started with gravity furnaces and gained forced-air ductwork in stages. Each addition created new joints, and without proper sealing at every transition, leakage compounds across the system.
- Wildfire ash infiltration points. After the 2017 and 2019 fire seasons, we saw increased leakage at points where fine ash had abraded seal surfaces or clogged filters enough to create pressure imbalances that forced air out of weak joints.
- Private well mineral dust. The mineral-rich water chemistry from deep Russian Valley aquifers produces fine particulate that circulates through ducts and accelerates wear at connection points, especially in homes with whole-house humidifiers.
Pricing for Duct Sealing in Sebastopol, CA
A typical duct sealing job in Sebastopol runs $1,200 – $2,800 for whole-system work, with spot repairs on accessible sections starting around $400 – $700. What moves you within that range: how much of the system is accessible without demolition, whether we’re sealing rigid metal (faster) or replacing degraded flex runs (more material and labor), and whether the crawlspace or attic conditions require additional safety prep. Homes on rural acreage with multiple HVAC zones or ductwork spanning outbuildings fall above the typical range. We do not quote per-vent teaser prices that balloon once the technician arrives. Every Hollis job gets a written, itemized price before work starts, and that price does not move at your door. Estimates are free. Call (361) 326-5060 to schedule.
